Sony Ericsson W850i: Rocking in the 3G World

The Sony Ericsson W850i is the first slider Walkman phone. Sony Ericsson has shied away from slider designed mobile phones for long. Infact the Sony Ericsson W850i is their first attempt at a slider. The novel design does not shows Sony Ericsson's experience, but their trait of immaculate planing and flawless execution have lead to the creation of a super smooth sliding action. The handset's hidden sliding mechanism is something that is yet to be achieved by other slider manufacturers. The Sony Ericsson W850i's linage is apparent from its designing. The slider is available is Precious Black and Golden White. The white version of the Sony Ericsson W850i sports a 24 carat gold icon adding more 'bling' to the phone. Both the handset has the unmistakable orange colour in their design scheme – a sort of treadmark for Walkman phones.

The Sony Ericsson W850i features an upgraded Walkman media player v2.0 which, apart from producing the best of sounds, also features a host of music centric intuitive features. The handset gives you direct access to music store from where you can download n number of songs directly to the Sony Ericsson W850i. The handset's built in memory is 16 Mb, but a standard kit includes a 1GB external memory card. The media player features Track ID feature through which a user can obtain all information he wants about a song just by sending a few seconds of the song's recording. With the handset's A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can enjoy your music on a sleek wireless Bluetooth stereo headset.

Other than its highly evolved music capabilities, the Sony Ericsson W850i also features a 2.0 megapixel camera with integrated flash and video recording capabilities. The Sony Ericsson W850i supports triband GSM mobile networks as well as 3G. The handset can give its user data connectivity speeds of up to 384 kbps in 3G network or at a slower rate in non-3G networks via built in class 10 GPRS technology.
