Banking On Your Cell Phone

By Monica Hernandez

What if you could make all your banking on your cell phone? Some say it's the moving ridge of the future. Respective cell telephone companies are already making it possible.

In fact, two Mississippi-based companies are offering that option to some of their customers. On May 5th, some Cellular South clients will be able to make banking on their cell phones, but only if they're also BancorpSouth customers. The company teamed up with BancorpSouth to give clients the ability to make banking on their cell phone. Cellular South states it bes after to spouse with other Banks soon.

If you're a Cellular South customer, you can subscribe up for the option free of charge. It's available on just about a twelve Cellular South phones. But BancorpSouth states in the future, it'll be just as common as cell telephones themselves.

"What we've seen over the last 10 old age is a rapid enlargement of Internet banking use, and what we're going to see now is mobile engineering detonate exponentially," said Aubrey Patterson, chief executive officer of BancorpSouth.

Cellular South kicked off its first mobile banking dealing by transferring $10,000 to the Mississippi River Council on Economic Education.

Cellular South isn't the first company to offer mobile banking. BancorpSouth states 16 percentage of Americans already utilize it. And it anticipates 816 million clients to make banking on their cell telephones by 2011. All of this do you wonder-- how unafraid tin it be to check up on balances and pay measures with your cell phone?

"You're not exposed to any greater menace than you are using other encrypted materials," said Patterson.

"A figure of minutes have got happened and security hasn't been a job at all," said Hu Meena, President of Cellular South.

The Better Business Agency of Mississippi River states it hasn't received complaints. But since the service is relatively new, the organisation warns that you should be careful.
