The good: Slender and attractive handset, roomy keypad, bright double displays, good multimedia system have set, great phone call quality.

The bad: Bashes not offer newer characteristics from the first enV. Also, photograph quality was mediocre, and the external show can be a spot too small.

The price: $129 with two-year agreement

The underside line: It's a candy barroom French telephone with a flip-open QWERTY keyboard like the original enV, but that's where the similarity ends. The good: Cutting-edge design with superb touching silver screen and broad keyboard.

The bad: Camera misses such as other options as a flash and Wi-Fi. The touching silver screen can be clunky.

The underside line: Though we had some minor ailments here and there, the Voyager's glossy design, generous characteristic set and first-class public presentation do it the best LG messaging and multimedia system telephone by far. The phone call quality also was excellent, making it a Cnet Editors' Choice winner. Kyocera Wild Card M1000 (Virgin Mobile)

The good: Easy-to-use messaging characteristic set and well-designed alphabetical keyboard. Also offers Bluetooth and voice dialing.

The bad: Poorly designed pilotage controls, and internal show is rather small. Its speakerphone is also disappointing.

The underside line: Though it's a shade boxlike and the external controls could utilize some polish, the Wild Card is a utile and easy-to-use phone for the text-obsessed. The good: Glossy and attractive designing with a dual-flip hinge that allows you see the show in either portrait or landscape mode. Entree to Verizon's Volt Project offerings, full array of multimedia system goodies.

The bad: Lacks a dedicated photographic camera key on the phone's exterior, and the picture quality is mediocre. We're also not fans of the touching silver screen music controls.

The price: $149 with two-year agreement

The underside line: Dual-flip design allows you switch over between portrait and landscape view. Comes packed with a 1.3-megapixel camera, music participant and entree to all Verizon Radio multimedia system services.
